If you’re a woman and your boyfriend or husband has cheated on you, you may find yourself wondering why guys cheat? Is it a compulsion? Evolution? Maybe men are just hard-wired to sneak around behind your back. Well, despite all the bitter complaints and generalizing by the victims of cheating guys, there is a real reason behind it. Here I want to share the reasons why men cheat on women.

Men don’t leave generally because they are chasing down a prettier or more attractive woman. More often than not, men leave for 3 reasons: because the other woman makes him feel respected, admired, or desirable. All of which are closely related and can really be boiled down to one problem.

If you take your guy for granted, don’t be surprised if his eyes start to wander. A man stakes a lot of his value on being able to provide for his family or his partner. If you don’t appreciate him for all the time he puts it at work paying the bill, there are going to be problems in your relationship.

Now of course, this doesn’t mean that you have to treat you guy like some kind of child, constantly acting impressed with everything he does. You can simply be yourself, however, be aware that there are several ways that women may unintentionally sabotage their relationship by cutting down their man.

The biggest way that women do this is by nagging men and complaining about their life. Now, I know that you are probably just voicing your emotions. That is totally fine, and it is one natural way that women communicate.

Just understand that from a man’s point of view, it seems that you are telling him that he isn’t good enough or that the life he is helping to provide for you isn’t good enough.

Over time, this will wear on his self-esteem. He may become frustrated and taken for granted.

The real reason why guys cheat is because there are problems in their relationship. If he feels undervalued by you, then don’t be surprised if he becomes infatuated with a woman who doesn’t take him for granted. And don’t be surprised if he ends up having an affair with that woman.

It’s often easier for people to find comfort in someone new and a new relationship than it is to work through the issues in their primary relationship. It’s not his fault he’s attracted to other people, it’s just human nature. However, it is his decision to have an affair and act on those feelings.

If you take care of your man and make sure you don’t nag him or otherwise make him feel under-appreciated, there is a much smaller risk that he’ll start to fancy another woman over you.
